DFM Development Services, LLC, has had a busy and eventful year! We worked for clients with several exciting developments throughout DC. The Union Market area continues to boom with exciting projects like the Highine building and the Edison Apartments, where we where we provided permit expediting services and bond release management services, respectively. We also had the opportunity to work on projects in the up and coming Capitol Riverfront neighborhood, including the Strand Theater, Whole Foods, and new residential development on Potomac Ave. Our dry utility design and coordination department was kept busy with projects throughout DC as well, ranging from Wawa in Georgetown, to Buzzard Point in Southwest, to the Adora apartments in Shaw. Our permit expediting team was also working hard on some DC mega projects like the Parks At Walter Reid and Phase II of the Wharf.
Virginia had a year full of growth as well. Our Stormwater Compliance division provided as-built certifications for several builders in Arlington and Falls Church. Further west, our bond release management services were put to use for new housing developments including Rockland Farms in McLean and Marbury in Loudoun County.
Ballston Quarter opened its doors in late 2018 and we are happy to have assisted in the permit expediting process of the project. Around the same time we received the exciting news that Amazon chose Crystal City as one of its HQ2 locations. We look forward to what exciting opportunities Amazon's arrival will bring in future years!
All in all, we had a successful year at DFM Development Services and continue to expand our team to meet the needs of clients. We would like to wish all our clients Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. Let's make 2019 another great year!
