We provided permit expediting services for Phase 1 of DC’s new hot spot – the Wharf. We are continuing our permitting expediting and management services as Phase 2 of the Wharf progresses. Phase 1 gave us the hip waterfront restaurants, luxury residences, outdoor leisure areas, and of course, the massive music hall, the Anthem. What can we look forward to seeing in Phase 2?
The second phase of the southwest waterfront will unveil an additional 1.2 million square feet of residential, retail, office, hotel rooms, and outdoor space. There are 11 different architects working on Phase 2 of the Wharf, including Perkins Eastman, SHoP Architects, and WDG Architecture. Hollwich Kushner Architects are the designers behind the Wharf Marina, which is a glass waterfront promenade that will feature a rooftop deck with views of the Potomac.
Recently, PN Hoffman signed a lease with the Goddard School to bring a preschool to the Wharf. CEO Monty Hoffman commented that they are working to “bring back the schools, residences, public spaces, and stores that help a neighborhood thrive.”
Renderings have been released of Phase 2 buildings: see gallery below.
