After two years of construction, Ballston Quarter, replacing Ballston Mall, has finally opened its doors. While people may enter the mall and explore, only a few stores are open for business with the rest scheduled to open in the coming weeks and months. Ballston Quarter is quite different from a traditional mall, with several outdoor areas including a colorful walkway dubbed “Instagram Alley.” As customers are trending towards valuing experiences over goods, several entertainment venues are opening as well. These include Muse Paint Bar, Cookology, a cooking school, Nook, a play space for children, Punchbowl Social, a gaming bar/bowling alley/restaurant, and Whino, a store/art gallery. Another exciting addition, set to open in February, is Quarter Market, an updated version of a food court that will include 18 different restaurants.
