Permit Expediting for The Portals in SW DC

We are proud to announce that DFM Development Services, LLC is providing permit expediting services for Republic Properties Corporation’s Portals II office building in Southwest DC.

445 12th Street SW, also known as The Portals II, was built in 1997 by Republic Properties Corporation. The development was designed to provide for major anchor tenants while offering the flexibility to accommodate a mix of smaller tenants.

For the last 23 years, the property served as the headquarters for Federal Communications Commission (FCC). With the FCC’s recent move to 45 L Street NE in the NOMA area of DC, the property is slated to become the new headquarters for the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation.

Portals II is only the latest property to undergo changes in the area. Republic Properties is currently developing a 13-story residential building at 1311 Maryland Ave SW, also known as Portals IV. The new residential development is set to be the final building in its mixed-use Portals complex. It’s being developed adjacent to Portals III, located at 1201 Maryland Ave SW, and just down the block from the residential complex Portals V at 1331 Maryland Ave SW.
